CLED is on a mission to upcycle waste to create treasure. Derived from the word recy(cled), CLED stands for Conscious Lifestyle Earth Friendly and Ethical Design. They are committed to producing sustainable, cruelty-free fashion out of discarded resources all without sacrificing quality and design. Their Eco Gem's are handmade (formed, cut, and polished) and undergo a purification process in an environmentally-friendly way. It is then cut and prepared as raw materials to be used in their unique, durable jewellery that is one-of-a-kind. Each piece is slightly different from the next because of the creation process. The metals used are Sterling Silver, Brass, and Gold Vermeil. Their current production uses 70% recycled metals with the aim to make this figure 100% as they grow. CLED continues its sustainability commitment using recycled packaging without vinyl coating making them bio-degradable. Printing is with non-toxic inks, and a tarnish-resistant cotton pouch is included. The boxes are sealed with paper tape that is activated by water from a plant-based glue. Their designs are inspired by nature, both bold and modern, with no two pieces being exactly alike. A portion of their sales are donated to charity, another CLED value of giving back
